C.W. Miller, founder
and president of Custom Training Concepts,
has been creating high
performance teams in a variety of industries for over twenty-five years.
He is well known for his
inspirational keynotes, thought provoking seminars and highly
interactive workshops. His
passion has always drawn him to training and development for individuals
or companies who want to excel in productivity, employee relations, and
customer satisfaction. His focus on the human interaction skills of
leaders has created positive impacts in health care, manufacturing,
state agencies, education and the military, as well as in non-profit,
civic, church and professional
associations.
In addition to being a
popular resource for developing outstanding teams of people, C.W. has been
the “how to guy” for establishing standards, processes, and procedures
for effective management of facilities, property, and equipment.
He was elected to Who’s Who in Science and Industry, sat on
standards committees with the Association for the Advancement of Medical
Instrumentation, served as president of the National Association of
Nephrology Technologists and was on the editorial review board of
Nephrology News and Issues. He
has lectured to executives nationwide on such topics as quality assurance,
cost containment, time management, and customer satisfaction.
C.W.’s unique
perspective comes not just from the classroom.
He knows organizations from the front office to the board room. His
strong work ethic emerged from his childhood years on the farm in
southeast Iowa. Nineteen
years of his career were spent in Chicago helping build a small
organization into one of the leaders in the healthcare industry.
During this time, C.W. attended Northwestern University Kellogg
Graduate School of Management and in 1990 was named Manager of the Year at
Everest Healthcare Services.
He shifted his focus to the rapid growth of the telecom industry in
the late 1990’s and in 1999 he received the Outstanding Performance
Award from Connect Communications in Little Rock, Arkansas.
C.W. carries his philosophy into community service activities as
well. In 1998 he was named
Hot Springs (Arkansas) Civitan of the Year and received the Civitan
International Distinguished President Award in 2000. As Governor
of the Ozark District of Civitan in 2005-06 he earned the Distinguished
Governor’s Award with his district finishing as one of the top districts in
the world in overall growth.
C.W. is a
member of the American Society of Training and Development, the West Central
Arkansas Society for Human Resource Management and the Human Resource
Management Association of Arkansas. As a resident of
Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, he is a member of the Hot Springs Chamber
of Commerce and serves as Chairman of the Board for the Hot Springs Village Chamber of
Commerce.
His passion for quality
service in the most efficient manner AND with satisfied employees is
impressive and contagious. He
doesn’t just inspire individuals throughout an organization to reach or
exceed potential; he also gives them the tools to make it happen.
The end result is more than improved performance—it is a
transformed workforce with a mission, commitment, excitement, and real job
satisfaction.
“From
the backroom to the boardroom one principle prevails. Success is
dependent on the human interaction skills of the people. People
are our most important asset. Therein lies our opportunity and our
challenge” -- C.W. Miller
